Local Electrical Contractors Review Products at 2012 NECA Convention to Boost Work Quality
Electrical Alliance contractors get the job done right with a combination of skilled workers and top-of-the-line products. Pioneering products were plentiful at the 2012 National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Convention in Las Vegas this fall. The Electrical Alliance attended to bring value-enhancing products and services back to their companies.
The Electrical Alliance is a cooperative effort between the Washington, DC Chapter of NECA and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 26. It provides quality electrical construction services to customers and sets the standard for efficiency and productivity within the industry. Its members attend the NECA convention each year.
The Convention draws attendees and exhibitors involved in all aspects of the electrical construction and integrated building systems industries annually.
For Steve Robey, Director of Field Logistics for Truland Systems, a trade show veteran and annual NECA Convention attendee, three companies’ products stood out in terms of advancement and project completion results.
This year, the show had 5,500 participants, including over 300 exhibiting companies. NECA spotlights a few exhibitors with ground-breaking products and services by honoring them with ShowStopper Awards. These exhibitors receive a prime location to ensure all attendees pay attention to the products designed to help electrical contractors on the job. Additionally, attendees take home extensive industry knowledge from a large selection of management and technical workshops and sessions.
“Electrical Alliance contractors and electricians attend the NECA Convention for the education and product showcase to ensure superior craftsmanship and efficiency on each present and future construction job in the metropolitan area,” said Thang Nguyen, assistant executive director of Washington, D.C. Chapter of NECA. “Our contractors rely on the convention to be a test for these products before they are used on real projects. Quality work is important to us, and we want to be able to work in all situations such as inclement weather, compressed schedules, occupied spaces and power outages,” added Nguyen.
Products and services found at the convention will contribute to the standards Electrical Alliance contractors uphold: assuring a safe work environment, and saving time and expense for clients; starting the new year off on the right foot, and providing excitement as local electrical contractors prepare to host the 2013 convention in Washington, D.C.
