IBEW Local 26 Member and JATC graduate, Kyle Cochran, received the 2018 James J. Willis Craftsperson of the Year Award, a national honor, from The Association of Union Constructors (TAUC).
The award recognizes outstanding labor-management cooperation as well as quality craftsmanship in the union construction and maintenance industries. The honor was bestowed upon Cochran at TAUC’s annual Leadership Conference during a special ceremony. Cochran was nominated for the level of excellence he brought to the Cove Point Liquid Natural Gas Expansion Project in Lusby, Maryland as the General Foreman.
The James J. Willis Craftsperson of the Year Award was created in 1989. It is given annually to building trades people who have a gift for recognizing the vision of a project and who are able to see that vision through to fruition in a professional manner. Apprentices, journeyman, foreman and general foreman are eligible for the nomination.
