D.C. area electrical contractor, C3M Power Systems, was recognized as ENR MidAtlantic’s Specialty Contractor of the Year, as selected by ENR’s editors. The electrical contracting firm was also honored with the title of best project, for the MidAtlantic, for their work on the CSX Virginia Tunnel Reconstruction. In addition, C3M was also awarded NECA’s 2019 Project Excellence Award.
ENR’s MidAtlantic Specialty Contractor of the Year
C3M is based in Capitol Heights, Maryland and is a full-service electrical contractor. Its focus is on infrastructure-related projects, with construction, rehabilitation and maintenance capabilities, C3M’s list of projects includes railways, airports, highways and utilities across the country. The firm’s largest project to date is the $69-million rehabilitation of electrical substations for Washington, D.C.’s metro rail system.
ENR’s MidAtlantic Project of the Year
Clark was the general contractor for the CSX Virginia Tunnel Reconstruction project and was able to leverage the services, such as C3M for electrical, of their subsidiaries and affiliates to maximize efficiencies. Jointly the project team met all key milestones and met them ahead of schedule. Despite tremendous logistical challenges the team completed construction of the project on schedule and underbudget.
2019 NECA Project Excellence Award
C3M’s rehabilitation of Washington, D.C.’s orange and blue line metro rail system was one of just 17 recipients across the country to be recognized by NECA for this honor. C3M’s work on D.C.’s metro rail system will continue into 2020.
C3M is a member of the D.C. Chapter of NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) and a member of The Electrical Alliance.
